I learned today that you are allowed a tax credit if you are to purchase a new fuel efficient car! Any hybrids, clean diesel, or other fuel efficient cars are eligible for up to $3,500. The amount you will receive as a tax credit depends on how fuel efficient the car is. Cars like the Toyota Prius are eligible for the most money, and the amount decreases with less fuel efficient cars.
